I have been a practicing massage therapist since 2008, graduating from the Asheville School of Massage and Yoga. I have experience working with several modalities including foot reflexology, infant massage, prenatal massage, aromatherapy, craniosacral therapy, reiki, deep tissue, and swedish. Honestly though, my main modality is listening intently to what your body is requesting. I sensitively use my intuition to lead each session in the direction you need most. My highest intention is that you are able to move into a place of inner balance and peace, however that may look.

Prenatal Massage
Prenatal massage is a very special way for a mother to take care of herself and her baby. It also does wonders for preparing a mother for her labor journey, as it helps her to become more in tune with her body. See here for more details on how prenatal massage can help you!
I do not see women during the first trimester because of the potential risk of miscarriage. If your care provider has deemed you “high risk”, I will need to see a written waiver for you to receive a massage. |
Postpartum Massage
Pregnancy, labor and birth are physically demanding and often exhausting, depleting a woman’s core reserves in a way that her body has never experienced. Receiving bodywork after the birth of your baby can help to speed recovery by reducing stress hormones, alleviating muscle tension that was accumulated during labor and pushing, re-aligning pelvis, decreasing postpartum depression, bringing vitality to the body, and supporting mother/ baby bonding.
I understand how challenging it can be to try to schedule a massage postpartum when you still may be juggling your newborn’s unpredictable needs. For this reason, I block off 2-2.5 hrs for your massage and will come to your home and allow you flexible time to get your baby nursed/ fed, changed, handed off to another caregiver, or put to sleep. Being a doula, I am very comfortable with the whole scene of new motherhood! I am happy to support you so you can get the most out of your bodywork session. |
Infant Massage Training
Learning infant massage not only enhances bonding between caregiver and baby but also provides great tools for soothing a fussy baby. You don’t have to be a pro to learn how to give infant massage but you do need to be ready to listen to your babies cues and be flexible about timing the massage around your babies’ needs.
