Both veteran parents and parents-to-be enjoy our modern curriculum that complements your prenatal visits and promotes healthy dialogue and strong relationships with your chosen care providers and your partner. You'll gain greater confidence and a deeper understanding of the physiological and emotional aspects of labor as well as detailed information on interventions based on evidence, not fear. You will learn specific coping skills and strategies including mindfulness skills for working through contractions, balancing movement and rest throughout labor, and skills for communicating with your provider, nurses, partner and family members. Incorporating components of various childbirth teachings including the Bradley Method, Hypnobirthing, and Lamaze, our classes are uniquely tailored to giving birth in Asheville. In addition to the most up-to-date information, The Mothership childbirth education classes provide opportunities to connect with your pregnancy, your partner or chosen birth support person, and other pregnant women. One Day Bootcamp - 9hrsWant to gain all the knowledge and insight from our Countdown to Baby childbirth education series, but don't want to commit to classes on multiple days? Then Countdown to Baby Bootcamp is for you! This 9 hour class (with an hour break for lunch) will give you the tools to have a positive birth experience, no matter what that looks like for your family. Bootcamp parents love the one day format and leave feeling confident, informed, and prepared.
